ASH Students in the Lab

ASH girls have been busy in the science labs! They have put on their purple rubber gloves and grabbed tweezers and scalpels to dissect worms, cow eyes, cow hearts and sheep brains. Mrs. Potier’s IV Primary class has identified parts of a worm through dissection and has had a visit by ASH parent Dr. Falterman while the class was studying the circulatory system. Dr. Falterman showed the fourth grade class a cow’s heart and helped them identify valves, atriums and ventricles. Mrs. Monceaux and Mrs. Darbonne’s II Primary class assisted the I Academic biology class dissect and identify parts of a cow’s eye. This was the I Academic’s first dissection of the year and the II Primary girls were helpful and curious lab assistants. Photos of Mrs. Latiolais’ biology honors class dissecting a sheep’s brain along with other lab activities can be viewed here.
