February 2012 - The nine I Academic students recently welcomed their tenth classmate to the class of 2015. On January 30, Berchmans Upper School held its first Honors Assembly where five of the nine students received Highest Honors. Pins of Merit, Goal Awards, and Merit Cards were also awarded to all students. The I Academic class recently hosted a lunch for III and IV Preps, a shadow day for IV Preps, and will soon begin quiz bowl practices.

Berchmans I Academics at LITE

In October and November 2011, Berchmans Upper School students hosted a school barbeque and attended the Louisiana Renaissance Festival in Hammond. Earlier in the school year, Berchmans men attended the Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE) Open House and two seminars focusing on 3D stereo visualization of the human body and the Immersive Virtual Learning Environments being utilized for the Louisiana Department of Transportation’s training program. A tour of the facility and a hands-on 3D demonstration completed the trip.

Berchmans Upper School students are accomplishing a promising and exciting year. The men are happy and the faculty is pleased with their progress and camaraderie.
